Marianne was a multi-faceted artist who held a degree in Fine Art (BA). She worked with an eclectic mix of mediums and subjects, from Acrylic, oils, tapestry, sculpture. Many of these are featured on this page.
She was inspired largely by pictures she saw in newspapers, magazines and books. And her family. Her daughter, Caroline features as a model for numerous sculpted pieces which now decorate various homes.
This collection is a group of Marianne's paintings from different dates in her artistic career. There is a noticeable gap in the timelines of her producing her art from around 1992 for about 10 years when she had her first stroke which left her left hand unusable for the rest of her life. Unfortunately this meant she had to give up her primary artistic outlet at that time which was sculpture. After this Marianne focused on painting, leaving the legacy you can see here.
